Nicki Minaj has regrettably canceled her performance at the Chicago Jingle Ball on Monday, December 4, citing personal reasons.
However, the rapper, set to release her highly anticipated album Pink Friday 2 on December 8, assures fans of a makeup show next year.
Minaj conveyed her apologies to her followers on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, expressing her excitement to see them and promising to make it up during the Chicago stops of her tour early next year. She mentioned, “Hope it doesn’t make you sad… Details to come.”

Despite the cancellation, Minaj revealed her contingency plan for the Chicago show, part of iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball Tour.
Her “beloved brother/boss” Lil Wayne, hailed as “the GOAT,” will perform in her place at the Allstate Arena. The official concert listing on Ticketmaster confirms Wayne’s inclusion in the lineup alongside Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, Doechii, (G)I-DLE, and Kaliii.

Minaj assured fans that she will still grace the Atlanta Jingle Ball on December 14 and the Miami Jingle Ball on December 16. Emphasizing the significance of her upcoming album Pink Friday 2, the Trinidadian native singer mentioned, “This album is just beyond anything I could have imagined.” She also issued a warning to her detractors, stating, “If you’re on my $h!t list, you will never EVER recover. The. Fkng. End.”
