At the recent Vultures listening party, the spotlight shifted momentarily from Kanye West to his daughter, North West, as she made a surprising announcement about her budding music career.
Ten-year-old North, who made her musical debut on the Vultures 1 track “Talking,” joined her father at the Vultures listening event held at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, March 10.
Amidst the excitement of the event, Ye paused the proceedings to allow North to address the crowd directly.
“Hi, it’s Northie, and I’ve been working on an album for a long time,” she excitedly revealed to the audience. “And it’s called Elementary School Drop Out.”
The album’s title, a playful homage to her father’s iconic debut album, “The College Dropout,” hinted at North’s own creative aspirations.

North’s announcement garnered significant attention, especially considering her young age and family background. With her father busy working on the upcoming Vultures installments with Ty Dolla Sign, the timing of North’s musical endeavor adds an intriguing dynamic to the West family’s creative ventures.
While details about the release date of “Elementary School Drop Out” remain scarce, North’s recent musical success with “Talking,” which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 30 last month, showcases her potential as one of the youngest charting artists.
Meanwhile, Kanye West shared insights into his own music release strategy, revealing that Vultures 2 won’t be available on traditional streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Citing concerns about how streaming devalues music, Ye expressed his intention to sell albums directly through Yeezy.com, leveraging his massive social media following to drive album sales.
