Oasis has revealed that Richard Ashcroft, former lead singer of The Verve, will join them as a supporting act for their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour.
The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, are set to kick off the tour in July, with Ashcroft performing at all their UK and Ireland shows.
Ashcroft, best known for writing the 1997 hit Bitter Sweet Symphony, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, acknowledging the profound influence the Gallaghers had on his career.
“As a fan from day one, I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’s return was announced,” Ashcroft said. “The songwriting talent of Noel, and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer, inspired me to create some of my best work.”
Ashcroft praised the band’s classic track Live Forever, noting that it motivated him to push his own songwriting.
“They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real, and I will always remember those days with joy. Now it’s time to create more memories, and I’m ready to bring it. See you next summer. Music is power.”
The upcoming tour marks the first time the Gallagher brothers will perform together since Oasis disbanded in 2009.
The reunion will begin in Cardiff, with additional shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
