The fashion house’s Men’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, and Miley Cyrus hinted at a possible new collaboration during Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall-Winter 2024 Collection presentation in Paris.
The livestreamed event featured a previously unreleased song titled “Doctor,” showcasing Cyrus’s distinctive vocals.
Pharrell, who took over the men’s creative director role at Louis Vuitton last year following the passing of Virgil Abloh, likely had a hand in curating the fashion show’s soundtrack.
The unreleased track, “Doctor,” made its debut around the 12:40 mark of the presentation, offering fans a taste of what could be a forthcoming musical collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus.
As the models strutted down the runway, Cyrus’s voice filled the air with lyrics like: “I could be your doctor and I could be your nurse/I think I see the problem, It’s only gon’ get worse/I need my medication, just show me where it hurts.” The song presented a fresh and intriguing sound, leaving fans eager for more details.
It’s worth noting that an unedited demo of “Doctor” surfaced online in 2017, with rumors suggesting that the track was initially intended for Cyrus’s 2013 album, Bangerz. A notable aspect of the recent showcase was the apparent refinement of lyrics and newly cut vocals, distinguishing it from the leaked demo.
This potential collaboration marks another chapter in the musical history between Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus. Pharrell previously contributed his production expertise to several tracks on Cyrus’s career-defining album Bangerz in 2013. The duo continued their creative synergy the following year with the release of “Come Get It Bae” from Pharrell’s album G I R L.
