Rapper Sexyy Red was arrested this past weekend following an intense brawl at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning when a fight broke out between Red’s entourage and another group of people at one of the airport gates.
Video footage obtained by TMZ captured the chaotic scene as people fought while bystanders scrambled to get out of the way.
At one point, Sexyy Red, known for her hit “SkeeYee,” was seen wielding a metal stanchion and attempting to use it against someone before being pulled away.
As the situation escalated, airport security intervened in an effort to prevent further violence. Police arrived shortly thereafter and arrested several individuals, including Red.
According to reports, Red was charged with disorderly conduct, while others involved faced assault charges. The victims of the altercation were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Following her release from jail, Red took to social media to inform her fans that she had “just got out” and offered to replace the phone of anyone who lost theirs during the altercation.
“To the people that was in that altercation at the airport, please DM me so I can replace yo phone!!” she wrote.
The altercation occurred as Red was on her way to host WWE’s NXT Battleground event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
