Rapper Rubi Rose remains steadfast in her belief that Drake name-dropped her in his track “7AM on Bridle Path,” a standout from his 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy.”
The disputed lyric sees Drake describing one of his watches as a “ruby-rose two-tone,” prompting speculation that he was referencing Rose.
Despite Drake neither confirming nor denying whether the reference was about her, Rubi Rose has continued to assert that it was her mentioned in the song, even citing it as her favorite name-drop during a recent interview with Complex.
In the interview, Rose reflected on the lyric, stating, “My favorite time somebody name-dropped me in their song… When Drake was saying ‘the Rubi Rose two-tone.’ That one because it’s f**king Drake.” She also mentioned another shoutout from Rob49’s song “Hate It or Love It,” describing it as “cute” and “funny,” and expressing her flattery.
Rubi Rose gained widespread recognition following notable appearances in music videos such as Migos’ “Bad and Boujee” and Cardi B’s “WAP.”
Her debut mixtape, “For the Streets,” released in December 2020, solidified her status as a rising star in the rap scene. The project featured her breakout hit “He In His Feelings” and collaborations with Cardi B, Future, and PartyNextDoor.
Despite her initial success in the music industry, the 26-year-old has since shifted her focus to a lucrative career on OnlyFans.
