A lucky fan of Snoop Dogg now has the opportunity to own a unique piece of the rapper’s legacy: a roach from a blunt he once smoked.
This unusual item is part of “The Shiznit: The Snoop Dogg Memorabilia Auction,” an online event named after the 1993 track from his iconic album, Doggystyle.
The auction, currently live, features a variety of authenticated memorabilia, including the aforementioned blunt roach.
According to the auction description, the item “was smoked in front of a TRUeST™ Authenticator on March 27, 2024, who then performed the Realest’s proprietary authentication process before any secondary high kicked in.”
The blunt roach has already garnered significant interest, with 22 bids and the highest bid standing at $439.
In addition to the roach, Snoop Dogg fans can bid on a range of other items, such as an autographed booklet from the 2000 Up in Smoke Tour, a personal Gold Plaque for Doggystyle, and a Death Row chain in a signed box.
Snoop Dogg himself has promoted the auction, emphasizing the authenticity of the items. “Make sure you get it ’cause it’s authenticated, signed by the one and only Snoop Doggy Dogg,” he says in a promotional clip.
While flipping through pages of his Bones script, he adds, “This shit mean a lot to me, I ain’t never look at this shit cuz… this is my first leading role!”
The first phase of the auction began on May 21 and will conclude on June 2. Previews of the auction items are being held in New York and Los Angeles throughout May, with additional items set to be added to the auction.
