Sofia Richie Grainge recently shared a glimpse into family life with her husband, Elliot Grainge, and their five-month-old daughter, Eloise Samantha Grainge, as they celebrated Elliot’s 31st birthday.
On her Instagram Story, Sofia, 26, posted a sweet snap of Elliot reading How to Spot a Unicorn to Eloise, captioning it with “Greatest dad” and a teary-eyed emoji.
In another photo, the couple posed together outdoors, with Sofia expressing, “We love you so much!”
Sofia also hinted at a new venture influenced by motherhood: a baby clothing line with Amazon.
She shared a sneak peek of Eloise modeling a cozy set adorned with cartoon ladybugs, adding that the collection is “coming soon” for others to “enjoy this cuteness as well.”
Though Sofia is enjoying motherhood now, her journey was not without challenges.
Speaking on the She MD podcast, she recalled a difficult end to her pregnancy, starting at 32 weeks when unexpected back pain and fatigue led her doctor to recommend a visit to a fetal specialist.
Sofia was shocked to learn she was in active labor, resulting in a six-week hospital stay before Eloise’s safe arrival.
Her struggles didn’t end there. After delivery, Sofia developed postpartum preeclampsia—a rare and dangerous condition marked by high blood pressure.
Reflecting on the experience, Sofia said, “I blew up like a balloon… I felt very ill,” describing her symptoms that ultimately led to another brief hospital stay.
Now, she is back home, happily embracing family life and, as she shared, “finally feeling like myself again.”
