Sofía Vergara has been open about her new chapter in life since her divorce from Joe Manganiello, and now she’s giving fans a glimpse into her current romance.
Speaking with Us Weekly, the Modern Family star hinted at her relationship with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman, referring to herself as “kind of single” but leaving her current relationship status with him unclear.
Sofía, 52, recently spoke about the unique dating scene in New York City.
“There’s a more diverse group of people in New York than in L.A.,” she explained, appreciating the city’s blend of architects, writers, actors, and businesspeople.
Her budding romance with Saliman began publicly in April 2024 when she humorously shared a photo on Instagram of the surgeon holding her bandaged leg following knee surgery, playfully captioned, “If u ever get a major knee surgery make sure u get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!!”
This new romance follows her split from Manganiello, her husband of seven years, who filed for divorce in July 2023.
While speculation swirled around their differing views on having children, Manganiello clarified in Men’s Journal that their separation was simply due to “two people growing apart.”
Vergara is keeping a sense of humor post-divorce.
She joked on The Talk in May that her “J” tattoo, originally for Joe, still works for her new beau Justin. “How lucky can I be that the guy that I’m going out with has the same initial? Recycle, recycle!”
