The Sugababes have been confirmed as one of the headliners for the 2025 Brighton Pride festival, joining Mariah Carey on the main stage.
The iconic British girl group will perform on Sunday, 3 August, as part of the two-day event at Preston Park on 2 and 3 August.
This exciting announcement follows last week’s reveal of Mariah Carey as the first headliner for the festival, marking her long-awaited return to the event after her 2020 performance was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Brighton and Hove Pride spokespersons expressed their excitement, saying they were “over the moon” to welcome the Sugababes to this year’s lineup.
The group, known for hits like Push the Button and About You Now, has had six UK number one singles since their debut album in 2000—second only to the Spice Girls in terms of British girl group chart-toppers.
The Sugababes, who reformed in 2011, are performing with their original lineup of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy.
Over the years, the group has undergone several transformations but remains a beloved force in the pop music scene.
The 2025 festival follows an impressive lineup in recent years, with past headliners including Girls Aloud and Mika in 2024, and the Black Eyed Peas and Steps in 2023.
With an estimated 300,000 attendees at the 2024 parade, Brighton Pride continues to be one of the most popular events in the UK’s LGBTQ+ calendar.
