SZA took to Instagram on Sunday to mark the one-year anniversary of her transformative album “SOS” and offered a sneak peek into her upcoming project, “Lana,” the deluxe version of the acclaimed 2022 release.
In a series of Instagram posts, SZA shared various images that could potentially serve as cover art for the deluxe edition. However, before delving into the teaser for “Lana,” the artist took a moment to reflect on the profound impact of “SOS” over the past year.
“A day late but Happy 1 year anniversary to an album that is ACTIVELY CHANGING MY LIFE… like rn currently changing my life,” she expressed on Instagram. “I haven’t processed this year AT ALL cause it’s still happening. This is beyond my wildest dreams. I never imagined we’d accomplish a fraction of the accolades that came from this… it often doesn’t feel real, and it’s funny cause I swore I’d know what to do if it ever happened. Turns out I froze.”

Acknowledging the potential pitfalls that success can bring, SZA made it clear that she is navigating this journey with gratitude and humility. “I know the perils of drinking the koolaid so I won’t dabble in that… but I have to express the immense GRATITUDE I have for every person that made this possible. Every person that’s been a part of this journey,” she added.
Continuing her heartfelt message, SZA extended her thanks to God, her remarkable team, family, and ancestors. She expressed gratitude to everyone who streamed the album, attended shows, and connected with her through the music.
