Legal troubles for the late Migos rapper TakeOff may persist posthumously as a sexual assault lawsuit, initially filed against him in August 2020, seeks to proceed with his mother, Titiana Davenport, as the new defendant.
TakeOff, whose real name is Kirshnick Ball, tragically lost his life in November 2022.
According to MyNewsLA.com, the plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, is aiming to have TakeOff’s mother replace him in the ongoing case.
Titiana Davenport is currently serving as the acting administrator of her son’s estate, which is undergoing probate proceedings in Georgia.
Jane Doe’s lawsuit alleges that TakeOff sexually assaulted her at a party in Encino in June 2020. The plaintiff claims that the rapper followed her persistently during the event and eventually assaulted her in a bedroom.
TakeOff’s legal team vehemently denied the allegations when they surfaced, and he faced no criminal charges related to the incident.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s office cited insufficient evidence as the reason for not pursuing prosecution.
This is not the only legal matter involving Titiana Davenport. She is concurrently suing the owners of the Houston bowling alley where her son was fatally shot.
The wrongful death suit, filed in June, asserts that the venue failed to provide adequate security and screening mechanisms during the event where TakeOff lost his life.
The tragic incident occurred when a gunman opened fire outside the bowling alley following a dice game. TakeOff sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and neck area. Titiana Davenport is seeking $1 million in damages as part of this lawsuit.
