R&B artist Teairra Mari has thrown down the gauntlet, expressing her readiness for a showdown with singer-songwriter Keri Hilson after recent podcast drama.
The feud ignited when Hilson appeared on the R&B Money podcast hosted by Tank and J. Valentine.
During the ‘I Ain’t Saying No Names’ segment, around the 1-hour and 50-minute mark, Hilson vaguely referenced a disagreement with Mari, recounting an incident where Mari attended her show, appearing disinterested and leaving Hilson feeling disrespected.
Hilson, without explicitly naming Mari, revealed on R&B Money: “She didn’t want to be there, and it was very obvious, and I felt disrespected by that. So when they came to my dressing room backstage, I said something, and we almost got to scrapping… it could’ve got real ugly.”

She also downplayed Mari’s significance, describing her as “pretty insignificant at this point.”
Teairra Mari swiftly responded on Instagram, challenging Hilson and stating, “So now, Keri! What’s up? You wanna fight or do you not want to fight because I’m gonna whoop your a** when I see you. I’m sick of you people bothering me! You had a whole different story when I was in your face; you’re a liar b**ch!!”
The history between the two artists dates back to Mari attending the album release party for Hilson’s 2009 sophomore album, “In A Perfect World.” However, tensions seemed to have risen over time, with Mari referencing an unnamed incident on DJ Scream TV in 2010. Without naming Hilson explicitly, Mari recounted an encounter backstage, suggesting an unpleasant exchange.
