Tekashi 6ix9ine has encountered legal woes with the IRS, as federal agents conducted a search at his residence in Lake Worth, Florida, on Wednesday.
The operation, carried out with assistance from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, saw the seizure of several of the artist’s belongings, including multiple vehicles, though 6ix9ine was not present during the search.
Details surrounding the nature of the investigation remain undisclosed, but the severity of the situation is evident given the involvement of federal authorities and the seizure of property.
“We are assessing the situation and will issue a statement at the appropriate time,” stated Lance Lazzaro, the attorney representing Tekashi 6ix9ine.
This recent legal entanglement adds to a string of troubles for the Leyenda Viva artist, who has faced various legal issues in recent months, spanning from assault charges to allegations of domestic violence.
Earlier this year, 6ix9ine was accused of inflicting “physical and psychological violence” upon his girlfriend, reggaeton artist Yailin la Más Viral, in an incident reportedly occurring in the Santo Domingo area of the Dominican Republic.
An arrest warrant filed by Viral’s mother, Wanda Díaz, detailed disturbing allegations against the rapper, including attempts to choke her, threats to throw her off a second floor, and verbal abuse. Following his release from custody related to these allegations, IRS agents reportedly conducted the search at 6ix9ine’s residence.
