Singer-songwriter Tom Grennan has announced his involvement as a judge in BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire’s Make a Difference Awards.
The event, which aims to recognize local heroes, is set to celebrate individuals who have gone above and beyond in their communities.
Grennan, who performed in Coventry last September, expressed his excitement about returning to the city.
Encouraging people to participate, he emphasized the importance of recognizing those who make a positive impact.
He urged the public to submit nominations, stating, “Them people who are going above and beyond need that recognition – and you can do that for them.”
His connection to the region runs deep, as his grandmother grew up in Canley.
The two visited the area last year, ahead of Grennan’s busking performance for the Big Issue charity.
His appreciation for Coventry and Warwickshire is evident, making his role as a judge particularly meaningful.
Joining Grennan on the judging panel are comedian and actor Guz Khan, as well as Stratford-based author Becky Holmes.
Together, they will evaluate nominees and help select the winners who have made a significant impact in their communities.
Nominations for the Make a Difference Awards are open until 31 March and can be submitted online.
The awards serve as a platform to honor unsung heroes, ensuring that those who dedicate their time and efforts to bettering their communities receive the recognition they deserve.
