Tyler, The Creator has taken to social media in an attempt to connect with music icon Janet Jackson, enlisting the help of the public to facilitate the rendezvous.
In a post shared on his Instagram Story on Sunday (February 18), the artist issued a plea for assistance in reaching Janet Jackson, stating: “Can someone let @janetjackson know I’m looking for her,” accompanied by a snapshot of his footwear.
Tyler, The Creator’s outreach to Janet Jackson comes amid his recent confirmation as a headlining act at the upcoming Coachella festival for 2024.
The festival lineup boasts an array of musical talent, including Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, and a reunited No Doubt, alongside other notable artists such as Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, and Tinashe.
Scheduled to take place over back-to-back weekends from April 12–14 and April 19–21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, Coachella promises an exhilarating three-day extravaganza for attendees.
However, Odd Future fans were left disheartened during last year’s festival when Frank Ocean withdrew from his second-weekend performance due to an injury following a delayed and underwhelming first set.
Frank Ocean cited medical advice to rest after sustaining fractures and a sprain in his left leg prior to his initial performance. Despite the setback, Ocean expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform and assured fans of his imminent return.
The 2023 Coachella performance saw Ocean’s set marred by delays, technical glitches, and an unexpected early conclusion due to curfew restrictions, leaving both fans and viewers disappointed.
