Lil Yachty, the Atlanta rapper and trendsetter, has embarked on his highly-anticipated 42-date Field Trip Tour with a unique twist – an all-female band taking center stage.
When questioned about this decision during an interview with Grammy.com on September 25, Yachty shared his straightforward rationale for structuring his team this way.
“My life is surrounded by women. My two assistants, my mother as a manager, a lot of my friends are women. Women really help me throughout my day,” he explained.
Yachty went on to emphasize the powerful role women play, stating: “I just think that women are so powerful. I feel like they rule the world. They are the most important aspect of this world, and they don’t get enough credit or shine, especially black women. So that was my aura behind it. I just wanted to showcase that women can shred just as good as men.”
Earlier this year, Lil Yachty announced the itinerary for his extensive global tour, which kicked off last week. This cross-national tour was planned to support his psychedelic rock album, “Let’s Start Here,” released in January.

The all-female band tour began on September 21 in Washington, D.C., and will include stops across the United States in cities like Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Denver, concluding on November 5 in Detroit.
Following this, Lil Boat will venture across the Atlantic, performing in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the U.K., France, Spain, Italy, and more. The tour will culminate in Austria on December 17.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Lil Yachty recently addressed public reactions to his new appearance after ceasing his lean habit. In early September, the 26-year-old rapper unveiled a transformed look on Instagram, showcasing a buzz cut hidden beneath his cap and a more slender physique.
While many of his followers praised his “glowing” complexion and “good genes,” he also faced criticism and trolling, prompting him to respond on Twitter, stating, “I did not stop drinking lean for people to bully me and tell me I look like I have leukemia.”
