It has been revealed that rapper YG and hip-hop artist Saweetie have decided to part ways amicably after approximately seven months of dating.
Both individuals reportedly believe that they function better as friends and have mutually agreed on the decision to end their romantic involvement.
It seems that they currently have no intentions of pursuing new relationships, considering their busy work schedules.
The former couple initially sparked dating rumors in May, following a vacation together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they were photographed sharing a kiss.
Prior to this, they were seen together at YG’s birthday party in March, allegedly cozying up at Coachella in April, and spotted on a restaurant date later that same month.
In July of the same year, YG and Saweetie collaborated on the track “Birthday,” released in celebration of Saweetie’s birthday.

Around the same time, they announced the Str8 to the Klub Tour, although it was eventually canceled.
Before her involvement with YG, Saweetie was known for her relationship with Quavo, a member of the hip-hop group Migos.
“I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band-aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
Following their breakup, Saweetie made a public statement in March 2021, asserting her single status and addressing the challenges she faced behind the scenes.
