British YouTuber and entertainer Yung Filly, real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded guilty to reckless driving in Australia while on bail over serious sexual assault charges.
The 29-year-old admitted to driving nearly 60km/h (37mph) over the speed limit on a Perth highway last month, leading to his car being impounded.
Barrientos is also facing eight charges related to an alleged sexual assault involving a woman at his Perth hotel room in September, following a nightclub performance during his Australian music tour.
The charges include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of choking.
He has yet to enter a plea on these charges.
Appearing at Perth Magistrates Court, Barrientos’s lawyer confirmed his intention to plead guilty to the driving offense.
His legal case has been adjourned until January 30, when both the driving and sexual assault charges will be addressed.
As part of his bail conditions, Barrientos is prohibited from leaving Western Australia or discussing the case on social media.
Widely known for his work with YouTube collective Beta Squad and for presenting on BBC Three, Barrientos has built a strong media presence in the UK.
He won a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality in 2021 and has appeared on popular shows like ITV’s Soccer Aid and Channel 4’s Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
