YouTuber and entertainer Yung Filly, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is facing new legal troubles in Australia, including charges of reckless driving and allegations of sexual assault.
The 29-year-old is accused of driving at 158km/h (98mph) on a Perth highway, well above the 100km/h speed limit, while out on bail for a separate incident.
Police claim the speeding occurred on November 17 in the High Wycombe area of Perth, resulting in the impoundment of his vehicle.
Barrientos is also set to appear in court on December 19 to face charges related to the alleged speeding incident and serious allegations from September.
These include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s breathing by applying pressure to their neck.
The accusations stem from an incident where Barrientos allegedly brought a woman in her 20s to his hotel room after performing at Bar1 nightclub in Perth.
Best known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad, Barrientos has built a successful career as a presenter and media personality, appearing on BBC Three, ITV’s Soccer Aid, and Channel 4’s Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
In 2021, he was recognized with a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality.
The BBC has reached out to Barrientos’s representatives for comment, but none have been provided so far.
When contacted, police confirmed the charges but did not identify the accused by name, stating only that a 29-year-old man had been charged with reckless driving.
