Kanye West debuted a new track titled “Carnival,” featuring references to controversial figures including Bill Cosby, R. Kelly, Diddy, Taylor Swift, Jesus Christ, and Elon Musk during Thursday night’s livestream event in Chicago.
In the third verse of the song, Ye makes a request for “a rocketship” from Elon Musk, followed by references to R. Kelly and Bill Cosby.
This comes amid ongoing legal battles and scandals surrounding both artists, with Kelly recently sentenced to 20 years in prison for charges including producing child pornography, and Cosby facing multiple sexual assault allegations.
Diddy, who has been accused of sexual assault in multiple lawsuits, is also mentioned in the track. Kanye has previously expressed disdain towards Diddy, notably offering a “fuck you” during an appearance on Drink Champs last year.

The livestream event, held at United Center, was made available for virtual attendance via Veeps, a livestream platform co-founded by Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. The event showcased new tracks from Kanye’s upcoming album series, Vultures, which is set to be released in three volumes.
Kanye’s “Carnival” track has sparked controversy with its provocative lyrics and references to controversial figures. The song’s release comes amidst Kanye’s public apologies to the Jewish community for past remarks and actions, including an interview with Alex Jones where he expressed admiration for Hitler.
