Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner set aside their busy schedules to join forces for a charitable cause this Thanksgiving.
The former couple reunited on Nov. 28 in Los Angeles to serve meals to those in need in the city’s Skid Row neighborhood.
In a photo shared by The Midnight Mission, a Southern California organization dedicated to helping the homeless, the duo posed alongside the charity’s CEO, David Prentice, wearing matching aprons.
The organization praised their efforts in an Instagram post, stating, “Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community.”
Affleck and Garner, who were married from 2005 to 2015, continue to maintain a strong co-parenting relationship for their three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Despite moving on romantically—Garner has been dating businessman John Miller since 2018, while Affleck is navigating a divorce from Jennifer Lopez—the two remain united when it comes to family and giving back.
Affleck has spoken fondly of Garner, describing her as a fantastic co-parent.
“When you have children with somebody, you’re connected to them forever,” he told People in 2020. “And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children.”
Garner, known for her commitment to community work, believes in teaching her children the importance of helping others through action.
“You can’t just say, ‘Here, have values!’ You have to show them that you have values,” she shared with E! News in 2016.
She hopes these lessons will inspire her kids as they grow, emphasizing the significance of seeing and appreciating the impact of giving back.
This heartwarming gesture from Affleck and Garner not only brought smiles to the Skid Row community but also reinforced the importance of unity, compassion, and leading by example.
