Drake’s most recent album, ‘For All the Dogs,’ has created a whirlwind of mixed reactions among fans and the media, landing an aggregate score of 52 on Metacritic.
One of the harshest critiques came from fellow rapper Joe Budden, who took the Canadian MC to task, suggesting that Drake was “rapping for the children.” This critique marked just one instance in which Drake has recently pushed back against criticism, with Joe Budden squarely in the crosshairs.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden brought to light a 55-second voice message he received from Drake via Instagram DMs.

Initially, Budden admitted he hadn’t listened to the message, but he shared the contents on his podcast. In response to the alleged message, Budden assured Drake that he doesn’t harbor any ill will, saying, “I’m not sure why you went crazy like that. I like the album. This ain’t 2016; I’ve got no beef. Get your stuff off, though. As a matter of fact, nobody’s happier for you than me.”
Since 2021, Drake has been a prolific force in the music industry, releasing four studio albums: ‘Certified Lover Boy’ in 2021, followed by ‘Her Loss’ featuring 21 Savage and ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ in 2022. His latest release, ‘For All the Dogs,’ in 2023, has garnered mixed reviews but has continued his tradition of enjoying significant commercial success.
