Alex Hall has made it clear that there’s no chance of rekindling any kind of friendship with Tyler Stanaland. The Selling the OC star, who shared a few romantic moments with Tyler, revealed that their relationship has completely fizzled out.
“As far as our relationship, there is no relationship,” Alex shared at Boohoo’s launch party for their new exclusive storefront, Collective. “The word on the street is he’s in a relationship. So, happy for him. But, yeah, there’s no relationship there with him.” She even mentioned that they’re not connected on social media, adding, “To my knowledge, I’m still blocked. I haven’t checked. I don’t really check up on things like that.”
Romance rumors between Alex and Tyler first ignited during the debut season of Selling the OC in 2022, despite Tyler being married to Brittany Snow at the time. Both Alex and Tyler have consistently denied any cheating allegations. By the time season two aired in September 2023, Tyler’s divorce had been finalized, and the pair even shared a kiss in the season finale, sparking hope for a budding romance.
However, according to Alex, their relationship never progressed, and rewatching season three only reinforced her feelings. “Re-watching season three really brought everything back again,” she said in May. “Not just the emotion but just the frustration… for me, anyway, I was like, ‘OK, I’m not crazy.’”
She pointed out that there were many inconsistencies in their interactions, and revelations after filming wrapped gave her a clearer understanding of why things didn’t work out. Still, Alex admitted that the issues weren’t entirely one-sided. “There was fear on my part too,” the mother of two acknowledged. “But I’m just a woman who wants a man to take the lead, and unfortunately, it wasn’t there.”
In May, Alex also addressed the timeline of her and Tyler’s relationship in relation to his marriage to the Pitch Perfect star. In an Instagram post, she clarified, “I myself have NEVER been unfaithful in a relationship. Nor have I EVER been a counterpart to someone being unfaithful in their own relationship. PERIOD.”
Although she didn’t mention Brittany and Tyler by name, Alex emphasized why she’d never engage in infidelity. “As a woman who has been on the receiving end of infidelity, I would never want another woman to go through that—nor put myself in a situation causing that,” she explained. She also reminded people that those in the public eye are still real people with real lives and real feelings.
