Sauti Sol singer Bien-Aime Baraza has encouraged couples to work together to achieve their goals faster, just days after celebrating his fifth wedding anniversary with his wife and manager, Chiki Kuruka.
In an Instagram story, Bien shared his thoughts on teamwork in relationships, stating, “Any time two people focus on one thing, it manifests twice as fast. This, like all things in life, works much more effectively if both people sincerely believe in themselves. This is one of our true powers as humans.”
Chiki, a digital content creator, choreographer, and fitness enthusiast, has played a significant role in managing Bien’s career while also being his life partner. As they marked their fifth anniversary, Bien expressed his deep appreciation for her, describing her as a light in his life.
“Happy 5th anniversary. You are everything I prayed for and more. Thank you for walking this journey with me. You are a light in my life. To many more years of farting and dark jokes. Love you, babe,” he wrote.
Chiki, on her part, dismissed the notion that Kenyans do not support each other, a sentiment often echoed in the entertainment industry. As Bien’s manager, she noted that she has witnessed immense support from fans and well-wishers.
“What I have learned since managing Bien is that support and a helping hand often come from unexpected places, from people who genuinely want you and Kenya to win,” she wrote on Instagram.
She further added, “This whole ‘Kenyans don’t support each other’ narrative has been disproven in my life more times than it has been proven.”

In a past interview, Chiki highlighted the growing trend of artists being managed by close family members or spouses, citing examples like Burna Boy, who is managed by his mother. She believes this approach not only strengthens relationships but also benefits the household financially.
“There is something beautiful about doing something as a family. When you’re a traveling artist, being able to experience these things together with your loved one makes a huge difference,” she said.
Chiki also spoke about the dynamics of managing her husband, explaining that their shared passion for the creative arts makes it a fulfilling experience.
“We are both so passionate about creative arts and performances. If I wasn’t managing him, he would still come home and talk to me about these things, so why not take the cost of a manager out and bring it back home?” she noted.
