Coi Leray kicked off her first Coachella performance with a special treat for fans, debuting two brand new songs during her set at the festival’s Mojave stage on Friday night.
The 26-year-old rapper performed hits like “Twinenem,” “Don’t Hurt Me,” and “Players,” but the highlight of her performance was the premiere of her new tracks “Coke Bottle Body” and “Not in the Store.” “Not in the Store” appears to sample Lil Uzi Vert’s unreleased track of the same name.
Adding to the excitement, a unique doodle drawing appeared behind Leray while she performed the new tracks, serving as a teaser for her forthcoming animated film project, “Dullsville and the Doodleverse,” created in collaboration with Pharrell and Lil Wayne, according to a press release.
While there’s no official release date for the new songs yet, Leray has been teasing an incoming “new era” of music on her social media accounts, hinting at more surprises to come.
Fans can catch Leray’s return to the Coachella stage next Saturday for the festival’s second weekend. Afterward, she will embark on the road in support of Jhene Aiko’s “The Magic Hour Tour” across the U.S.
