In an electrifying musical collaboration, Lil Durk and Kid Cudi have joined forces to release their latest single, “Guitar In My Room.”
This dynamic track is set to be a part of Lyrical Lemonade’s 10th-anniversary celebration and will be marked by a special show on October 1st at The Shed in Chicago.
The song’s accompanying music video, directed by the talented Cole Bennett, adds a visual dimension to the captivating tune.
In this soulful track, Lil Durk opens with compelling lyrics, rapping, “I was takin’ all prescriptions, them drugs/I wanna ask for your permission, don’t judge.”
He continues to share his thoughts, emphasizing the importance of life experiences, as he raps, “Before you ever get a job, get a gun/Gotta hit a thousand girls before you fall in love.”
Kid Cudi takes the reins for the latter part of the song, delivering his signature vocals and poignant lyrics. He croons, “Soakin’ up your glory days slow/If there’s problems, I’ll solve ’em, no lie/You never had a n-gga catchin’ all the signs/It’s time, baby, lost in the lights!”
“Guitar In My Room” is set to feature on Lyrical Lemonade’s forthcoming compilation album, anticipated to make its debut in October.

This track follows the release of “Doomsday” in June, which featured the late Juice WRLD and Cordae.
Lyrical Lemonade’s founder, Cole Bennett, has exciting plans for the album. In an April behind-the-scenes video on YouTube, he revealed that the project would consist of 16 songs, each accompanied by a music video.

Bennett shared his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “Been working on the Lyrical Lemonade album nonstop. It’s insane. I’m trying to do a video for every song on the album. Sixteen songs. But this song I got, that Yachty’s about to hop on, Sosa, Yachty, and LUCKI.”
The collaboration between Kid Cudi and Cole Bennett has been a long-awaited and magical moment.
It all began when Bennett tweeted about his dream of working with Kid Cudi in December 2020. Just three months later, Kid Cudi himself tagged Bennett in a tweet, requesting him to direct a music video, not even aware of Bennett’s prior tweet.
In a matter of minutes, Cole Bennett responded to Kid Cudi, reiterating his lifelong dream of collaborating with the iconic artist. He expressed, “This has been a dream of mine since the day I picked up the camera. Let’s make history.”
Kid Cudi promptly acknowledged Bennett’s response, exclaiming, “Hittin u!!” This heartwarming exchange between the two artists solidified their partnership and set the stage for the remarkable “Guitar In My Room.”
