Meek Mill has surprised fans with new music amidst a public dispute involving allegations made against Diddy.
The controversy arose on Thursday when Meek engaged in a heated exchange with DJ Akademiks regarding a lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against Diddy.
The lawsuit accuses Diddy of sexual harassment and implicates him in a sexual encounter with a rapper. Although Meek was not directly named in the lawsuit, it referenced “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.”

In response to the ongoing controversy, Meek Mill released a new EP titled “Heathenism.”
The five-track, 16-minute project features collaborations with Fivio Foreign on “Whatever I Want” and Future on “Giving Chanel.” “Heathenism” marks Meek’s first solo release since his 2022 mixtape “Flamerz 5” and follows his 2023 collaborative album with Rick Ross, “Too Good to Be True.”
Taking to X, Meek shared a trailer for “Heathenism,” expressing defiance against online campaigns attempting to hinder his music. The EP is now available for streaming on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Amidst his online exchanges, Meek Mill also addressed the allegations and dismissed them as “fake news.”
He referenced a report from NBC News highlighting the issue of AI-generated misinformation targeting Black celebrities. Meek vowed to uncover those responsible for tarnishing the image of influential Black artists.
