Nicki Minaj has seemingly responded to Wack 100’s recent comments downplaying the success of her latest album, Pink Friday 2.
On Saturday, the rap queen turned to X, formerly Twitter, to engage with her loyal fanbase, the Barbz, questioning whether her fifth studio album had broken any records.
In the wake of Wack 100’s audio clip suggesting Cardi B’s greater impact, Nicki sought clarification from her dedicated supporters, asking, “Barbz did we break any records?”
Wack 100’s commentary, shared in an audio clip, questioned the notion of any artist, including Nicki Minaj, currently breaking records with their numbers.
Despite acknowledging Nicki’s extensive body of work, he emphasized the prevailing trend in the industry. However, when Cardi B’s name was brought up as Nicki’s competition, the conversation took a comparative turn.
Pink Friday 2, released last month, marked Nicki Minaj’s return after a five-year hiatus, immediately claiming the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album’s debut saw impressive numbers, moving 228,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with a substantial portion coming from pure album sales.
Contrary to Wack 100’s skepticism, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 shattered records. The album’s success secured her status as the first female rapper with three chart-topping albums.
The vinyl format contributed significantly, with 25,000 copies sold, granting Nicki the largest sales week for a female rap album in vinyl history.
Additionally, Pink Friday 2 generated a substantial 169.87 million streams in its inaugural week, marking Nicki’s largest streaming week ever for a female rap album in the 2020s and a female R&B/hip-hop album in 2023.
