Nicki Minaj found herself in unexpected territory today as conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro name-dropped her in his latest collaboration with rapper Tom MacDonald.
The track, titled “Facts,” sparked a response from Minaj after Shapiro referenced her in a verse, suggesting she take notes to achieve a Billboard number-one hit.
Amused by the mention, Minaj took to X to share her thoughts on Shapiro’s unexpected foray into the music world. Upon learning that “Facts” had reached No. 1 on iTunes, Minaj expressed disbelief, urging her fans, known as the Barbz, to confirm if the achievement was genuine.
However, she didn’t shy away from giving credit where it was due, acknowledging Shapiro’s accomplishment while drawing parallels to her own past collaborations.

In a subsequent post, Minaj listened to the track and offered a mixed review, complimenting Shapiro’s effort while noting similarities to her 2010 hit “Roman’s Revenge.”
She also questioned the authenticity of the situation, pondering the significance of Shapiro’s sudden emergence in the music scene.
Shapiro didn’t reserve his commentary for Minaj alone, as he also targeted her rap rivals Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion in the song.
This comes amidst renewed tensions between Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion following the latter’s recent release of “Hiss,” a track featuring bars directed at Minaj.
