Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in federal custody awaiting trial on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, following a series of civil suits alleging decades of sexual assault and physical violence.
The 54-year-old was arrested on September 16 at a New York hotel and faces accusations of running a criminal enterprise that exploited victims through drugs, violence, and his celebrity status.
Federal prosecutors claim Combs abused his power to coerce individuals into “Freak Offs,” extended sex acts reportedly facilitated by his influence.
Raids on his Miami and Los Angeles homes uncovered firearms, ammunition, and over 1,000 bottles of lubricant.
Combs has pleaded not guilty but remains detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where his bail has been denied due to flight risk concerns.
If convicted, he faces 15 years to life in prison.
Allegations against Combs span decades, involving over 27 individuals, including underage accusers.
Lawsuits detail incidents of drugging, assault, and rape, with some claims tied to parties at Combs’ residences.
Notable accusations include a lawsuit by his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, alleging years of abuse and sex trafficking, which Combs denied before issuing a public apology for a 2016 assault caught on surveillance footage.
Other claims involve alleged assaults during the 1990s and early 2000s, with several anonymous plaintiffs filing under New York’s Adult Survivors Act.
Combs has dismissed the allegations as false and motivated by financial gain.
His legal team continues to deny the claims while preparing for a trial that could reshape the legacy of the self-styled “bad boy for life.”
