As the summer of 2024 comes to a close, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance is only getting stronger. The power couple made several high-profile appearances in New York City over the weekend, including a sweet moment at the U.S. Open.
On September 8, the Grammy-winning singer and Kansas City Chiefs star were spotted sharing an intimate moment during day 14 of the tennis tournament. While watching U.S. player Taylor Fritz compete against Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the men’s singles final, Travis was seen planting a gentle kiss on Taylor’s head.
For the occasion, the “Cruel Summer” singer wore a chic vintage-style red gingham sundress and chunky sandals, while Travis sported a stylish white Gucci cardigan, shorts, a collared shirt, and a bucket hat with red and green stripes. The couple was accompanied by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, N.Y.
The night before, the couple attended model Karen Elson’s wedding to Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster. Taylor wowed in a sleeveless, floral-print Zimmermann midi dress with blush Christian Louboutin sandals and her signature red lipstick. Travis looked dapper in a black button-down shirt and matching pants.
Their New York adventure didn’t stop there—on September 6, the pair was spotted enjoying a cozy dinner date at a local pizza spot. These outings mark some of their most public appearances together since they began dating in the summer of 2023.
The couple’s whirlwind romance took off after the Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, where Taylor was seen cheering for Travis at Arrowhead Stadium. She had been a regular presence at his games last season, and even celebrated the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 victory with a kiss on live TV. Travis has been just as supportive, attending over a dozen shows during Taylor’s Eras Tour and even joining her onstage in London in June.
Their love story began in July 2023, when Taylor performed at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as part of her Eras Tour. Travis, a self-proclaimed Swiftie, attended the concert with hopes of giving her a friendship bracelet featuring his number. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to meet her due to her strict pre-show rituals.
“I was disappointed she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” Travis revealed on his New Heights podcast. “I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to give her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
Undeterred, Travis later took his shot and invited Taylor to one of his games at Arrowhead Stadium. “I threw the ball in her court,” he joked on The Pat McAfee Show. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, now you have to come see me rock it and see which one’s more lit.’ We’ll see what happens.”
