Drew Barrymore is taking us back to the wild ‘90s! In the Oct. 2 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the iconic actress shared a fun and flirty story about a memorable kiss she shared with longtime friend Chloë Sevigny.
The pair, both 49 now, reminisced about the spontaneous moment they had in a hotel bathroom decades ago, and Drew didn’t hold back on the details.
“It was the ‘90s. It was a kiss,” Drew told her audience with a laugh. “We were very free and just having the best time, and it was the sexiest, cutest, most meow.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of her playful description!
But there was more to the moment than just a kiss.
Drew explained that the two bonded while hanging out at the famous Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles.
The evening was particularly special because they were discussing a project that would soon become a major milestone in Chloë’s career—Boys Don’t Cry, the film that earned Sevigny an Academy Award nomination.
“We had a long dinner, we were talking about a story I was so passionate about,” Drew shared.
“That was a bond for us.” Chloë, who was also on the show, couldn’t help but laugh as she chimed in, “It was the ‘90s!”
Drew has always been open about her colorful experiences during the decade, and this isn’t the first time she’s revisited her wild past on the show.
Recently, she reflected on her 1995 Playboy shoot, an experience that’s still part of her parenting journey today.
In an Aug. 30 Instagram post, Drew admitted that when she posed for the magazine, she thought it would remain in the past.
“I thought it would be a magazine that was unlikely to resurface because it was paper,” she joked. “I never knew there would be an internet!”
As a mom to two daughters, Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman, Drew has had to navigate some tricky conversations.
“My daughter wants to wear a crop top,” Drew told Christina Aguilera during a February episode of her show. “I’ll say ‘no,’ and she’ll go, ‘You were on the cover of Playboy.'”
