Sean “Diddy” Combs is now facing two more sexual assault lawsuits, adding to the legal troubles surrounding the music mogul. The lawsuits, filed on Friday, December 20, involve alleged incidents from 1991 and 2006.
Allegations from 1991 Charity Event
The first lawsuit stems from an alleged incident in December 1991 during a charity basketball event at the City College of New York, co-sponsored by a then-up-and-coming Diddy. The event, which tragically resulted in a stampede that left nine people dead, involved a Jane Doe who claims Diddy sexually assaulted her.
According to the lawsuit, Doe and a friend were invited by Diddy, who performed at the event. She alleges that after gaining early entry to avoid the aggressive crowd outside, she was taken to Diddy’s makeshift dressing room. There, she claims he gave her a spiked Coca-Cola, prevented her from leaving, and later threatened her when she said she might tell a rapper friend about the incident.
Allegations from 2006 White Party
The second lawsuit involves an Oklahoma woman, LaTroya Grayson, who alleges she was drugged and sexually assaulted after attending one of Diddy’s infamous White Parties in October 2006. Grayson had won a radio contest that included airfare, hotel accommodations, and access to the exclusive event.
According to her complaint, the party was changed to a Black Party, and after consuming two drinks, she began feeling nauseous and later woke up in a hospital with ripped clothing, no underwear, and missing money. Grayson states she has no memory of the assault but claims an anonymous caller later warned her against pursuing legal action against Diddy.
Diddy’s attorneys have denied the allegations, calling them baseless. In a statement to TMZ, they said:
“Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs. Her allegations against him are pure fiction. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. He has faith in the judicial process, in which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these.”
These latest lawsuits come as Diddy is currently housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He is awaiting trial in May 2025 for charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
